Dear Loved Ones,
We are in awe of the faithfulness of our donating families as
the Olim Fund of the Galilee was able to distribute emergency
aid to 18 new immigrant families in the month of May 2004. As
the financial base continues to grow we are anticipating the guidance
and wisdom of God to lead us into the next level of this vision
to support returning remnant of God's people.
This month we saw the continuation in the breakdown of new immigrant
families. In most cases the husbands are leaving the families
in utter defeat, not able to withstand the economic pressure from
the current recession here in Israel.
We were blessed to help one particular case in which the woman
was living in pain, suffering from arthritis because she didn't
have the funds to buy specially made knee braces. On top of that
she had been surviving for the last few months without a refrigerator.
Your gifts provided not only the knee braces but also a good quality
second-hand refrigerator to enable this woman to live in peace
in her humble situation. In another case a single parent received
assistance when their landlord demanded that they vacate their
apartment. We helped to move them to a surer situation in the
vicinity close to the congregation they attend.
We bless you and give thanks for you as you continue to participate
in this great out pouring of love toward our people Israel.
