Tiberias, Israel
Shalom Dear Ones,
This has been another very rewarding month for the Fund, thanks
to your continuing generosity and loving outreach to the Land
of Israel and its newest Jewish citizens.
This month, you provided $7,207 which was allocated by our Board
of Directors to meet the urgent needs of twelve new immigrant
families. See the attached report for details). On behalf of of
them all, I extend to you our heart felt thanks for your greatly
needed and prayerfully allocated assistance.
I would like to tell you a bit more about our remarkable Dental
Clinic associates here in Tiberias. The dentist and hygenist are
both Arab Christians from the nearby terrorist "hotspot"
village of Turan. It is so very gratifying to see these people
living out their faith by taking care of the dental needs of Jewish
immigrants for a fraction of what their services would normally
cost.
For example, this month they met the needs of a couple, and a
widow from Haifa. Following is the clinic's proposal which we
have just funded:
"Olga --- needs the following treatment: root canal treatment
& fillings in 4 teeth, 2 extractions, upper & lower vitalium
(partial dentures). Cost: 3,000 NIS ($652)
"Victor--- needs 16 extractions and full upper & lower
dentures. Cost: 3,000 NIS ($652)
"We have been treating Angela --- and the dentist recommends
a bridge that was not included in my first estimate. This is essential
work and should have been included. We are already doing one crown
& just need to add 2 more to make a bridge to replace the
tooth extracted. The Olim Fund has paid 1,300 NIS ($283) for Angela
and an additional 1,000 NIS ($217)would cover the revised treatment
bringing the total cost of her treatment to 2,300 NIS.($500)"
Can you imagine what all of this would cost in the Untited States?
Thanks again for your generosity and love,
Bob Fischer
