Robert Fischer's Home Going
Robert Fischer went home to be with Jesus
on 19 November 2011. Bob had a deep faith in God, in the God of
Israel, and in the Messiah of Israel. And all of his life revolved
around this faith. His "home going" celebration on Thanksgiving
day 2011 was attended by his wife, three daughters, brother and
96 other friends in Isarel. He was greatly loved and he loved
every one.
Bob and Donna Fischer
Bob
and Donna were Air Force lieutenants when they met at Eglin Air
Force Base, Florida. They were married in 1960 and began their
life together colored by three exciting and challenging careers.
Donna left the Air Force in 1960 to embark on the joys of motherhood.
Bob retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1984, and immediately began
a second career in International Marketing with the Boeing Company.
Bob left Boeing in 1992 in response to a call from the Lord, confirmed
by Donna, to make aliyah to Israel.
Bob is a Messianic Jew. Donna is "married
into the covenant." Bob holds a B.A. from the University
of Rochester and a Master of Arts and Doctor of Humane Letters
from Faith Seminary, Tacoma, Washington. Donna received a B.S.
in Nursing from the University of Tennessee and has held a variety
of critical care nursing positions in the ever changing locations
dictated by Bob's many career driven relocations.
Bob and Donna are greatly blessed with
three daughters: Robin, Cindy and Julie. They have been even further
blessed with four grandchildren: Michele, Paul, Daniel and Adam.
Bob lived from June 18, 1934 - Nov 19, 2011, but his contribution
to the cause of Christ in this earth still lives through his writings
available here.
